Participation in the SIUE Emergency Notification System (e-Lert) is voluntary. SIUE, the software service provider, and cell phone providers/carriers cannot and do not guarantee that text messages sent to your cell phone as part of the Service will be delivered to your cell phone or that the text messages will be delivered to your cell phone in a timely manner. You may also receive more than one text message from the Service for a particular incident and periodic "test" text messages will be sent to assure that all components of the Service are working properly.
